Optics and Applications
Ellipsoidal primary reflectors direct lamp output through parabolic shielding cones. Patterns are uniform with medium distributions suitable for higher ceilings. Use for general, transient or task lighting.
Design Features
Cast heat sinks convey lamp heat to the plenum. Serrated hydroformed aluminum housings align and protect the optical systems and act as secondary heat sinks. Maximum ceiling thickness: R7332 1 1/4", R7333 7/8". Top or bottom service.
Finish
Specular clear Alzak cones are standard. Optional colors and Softglow® finishes are available. Structural parts are painted optical matte black to suppress stray light leaks.
Ballasts
R7332 Pulse start, Super-CWA, EISA compliant magnetic core and coil with capacitor, high power factor. Inrush current is controlled and lamp wattage regulated for line voltage variations up to 10%. Class H 180°C insulation and 105°C capacitors are standard. Ballast with dual taps for 120V or 277V, shipped for 277V. Field conversion to 120V with a splice. Ballast and components mounted in a compartment on a saddle plate with 4' of flex. Removable through the aperture for service. Replace failed lamps immediately. R7333 Pulse start, EISA compliant, electronic metal halide ballast provides more constant lumen and wattage output. Available in 277V only. Operating temperature range from 32°F to 131°F. Thermally protected with automatic reset, quiet operation and automatic shut down at end of life. Ballast and wiring compartment mounted on a saddle plate with 4' of flex. Removable through the aperture for service. Replace failed lamps immediately.
General
Fixtures are pre-wired and thermally protected, UL and C-UL listed for eight wire 75°C branch circuit wiring. EISA code compliant. Union made IBEW. Luminaire Efficiency Rating (LER) data is in the photometric directory located in Section Z.
