Optics and Applications
Formed specular reflectors direct lamp output through frosted microprism glass spread lenses, providing even illumination from ceiling to floor. The lateral spread allows wider fixture spacing while retaining uniformity. Choice of parallel or perpendicular version to match adjacent downlights.
Design Features
Rigid steel housings protect all fixture components. Air flow design assures a cool lamp chamber, critical for full rated performance. The trim is held to the ceiling by a torsion spring assembly. Maximum ceiling thickness 7/8". Top or bottom service.
Finish
Housings and structural parts are painted matte black to suppress light leaks. The aperture trim is Softglow® clear. A variety of special finishes, textures and colors is available.
Trim Textures
Kurt Versen offers a selection of textured rectangular trims for an interesting architectural dimension on the ceiling plane. All textured surfaces are available in anodic colors.
Ballast
Electronic metal halide ballasts provide more constant lumen and wattage output. They feature thermal protection with auto reset, quiet operation and automatic shutdown at end of life.
General
Fixtures are pre-wired, thermally protected, UL and C-UL listed for eight wire 75°C branch circuit wiring. All products are union made IBEW. Suitable for damp locations.
