Optics and Applications
Kicker reflectors redirect spill light through microprism spread lenses. The rectangular shape uses two lamps for uniform brightness on the lens producing wide lateral spread and even illumination from ceiling to floor. Use to light walls, murals, paintings, and textured surfaces such as stone, masonry or wood. Choice of parallel or perpendicular version to match adjacent downlights.
Design Features
A steel housing protects all fixture components and is ventilated for cool lamp chamber temperature. The splay trim is held to the ceiling by a torsion spring assembly. Maximum ceiling thickness 7/8". Top or bottom service.
Finish
Housings and structural parts are painted matte black to suppress stray light leaks. The aperture trim is Softglow® clear. A variety of special finishes, textures and colors is available.
Trim Textures
Kurt Versen has developed a selection of textured rectangular trims to create an interesting architectural dimension on the ceiling plane. All textured surfaces are available in anodic special colors. See Accessories.
Transformer
Each fixture has two transformers capable of accommodating low voltage lamps up to 75W. The primary lead is 120V with a 12V secondary. Each is rated 180°C, Class H with a built-in thermal reset. It can be lowered through the aperture for service. Total fixture draw is 170W with 75W lamps.
General
Fixtures are pre-wired, thermally protected, UL and C-UL listed for eight wire 75°C branch circuit wiring. All products are union made IBEW. Luminaire Efficiency Ratings (LER) do not apply to wall washers.
