Optics and Applications

A horizontally mounted triple tube compact fluorescent lamp permits shallow depth fixture construction for mounting in limited plenums. Use in showers and other wet locations for general downlighting.

Design Features

Housing construction allows easy access to all components. To prevent water entry fixtures are double gasketed, first between lens and cone, and then between ceiling and cone flange. The trim assembly is non conductive. Steel housings protect the reflectors and assure their proper relationship. Maximum ceiling thickness 1 5/8". Ballast and lamp service from below.

Finish

All cones and reflectors feature Kurt Versen Marine Grade anodic coatings which significantly exceeds the standard Alzak specification. A specular clear cone is standard, colors and Softglow® finishes are optional. Structural parts are phosphate conditioned, powder coated and baked matte black. Stray light leaks are contained and the final finish has exceptional scratch, impact, and wet environment resistance.

Ballasts

Fully electronic, microprocessor controlled with variable starting current for inrush protection to assure rated lamp life. Input voltage ranges from 120V through 277V. Operates multiple wattage interchangeably. Power factor .98, starting temperature 0° F (-18° C), THD < 10%. Pre-heat start < 1.0 second. End of lamp life protection. Rated for > 50,000 starts.
