Optics and Applications

The elliptical primary reflector forms an efficient optical system with our proprietary fresnel lens. Output is wide, uniform and features a soft fringe pattern. The splayed trim is parabolic for lower brightness. Use in protected interior or exterior locations such as swimming pools and large shower rooms.

Design Features

The horizontally positioned lamp offers a shallow recess depth for limited plenum situations. Torsion springs hold the lens lower assembly against the ceiling with constant pressure and retains the lens assembly during relamping. To prevent water entry fixtures are double gasketed, first between lens and trim, and then between ceiling and trim flange. Maximum ceiling thickness 1 1/8". Bottom service only.

Finish

The reflector features Kurt Versen Marine Grade anodic coating which significantly exceeds the standard Alzak coating specification. The trim is powder coated matte white. Colors and Softglow® finishes are optional. Structural parts are phosphate conditioned, powder coated and baked optical matte black. Stray light leaks are contained and the final finish has exceptional scratch, impact and wet environment resistance.

Ballasts

Standard ballast is encased and potted magnetic. Type HX, HPF, 120V or 277V taps. Shipped for 277V, field conversion to 120V. Thermally protected with auto reset. Temperature -20°F to 105°F. Comes mounted on a plate with 4' of flex. End of life protection not available, replace failed lamps immediately. Service through the aperture requires 121/2" plenum depth for the ballast to swing up for removal. Optional electronic metal halide ballasts provide more constant lumen and wattage output. They feature thermal protection with auto reset, quiet operation and automatic shutdown at end of life. Service through the aperture requires 93/4"plenum depth for the ballast to swing up for removal.

General

Fixtures are pre-wired, thermally protected, UL and C-UL listed for wet locations with eight wire 90°C branch circuit wiring. Union made IBEW.
